In addition to educating her one-on-one clients on healthy lifestyle behaviors, Kathy also works with Senior Centers, Health Care Companies, Home Health Care Organizations, Physical Therapists, Professional Organizations, and others, to provide educational workshops that incorporate self-identification and reflection of current lifestyle behaviors, education and learning, behavior change strategies and Q & A.  Programs are offered both in person and virtually.

Topics Include:

  • Movement Sessions - Balance, Breath & Movement, Chair Yoga, Floor Pilates, *Ageless Grace

  • Dementia - Breaking the Stigma - What it is, Where it comes from, and What it looks like. Co -present with Marc Archambault who has been living with Alzheimer’s for over 13 years.

  • Dementia Competence Training and Practice - a 3 hour training for direct care staff working with older adults and their caregivers. Designed to build knowledge and skills related to the stages of Dementia and Person-Centered Care

  • Healthy Living for Older Adults (Healthy Eating & Weight Stability, Physical Activity, Restorative Sleep & Stress Management). These can be broken down into 4 separate sessions.

  • Personal Resilience - Introduces the following wellness tools to stay active and engaged. 1. Plan Your Day 2. Staying Connected with Others 3. Maintaining a healthy diet 4. Staying Physically Active both body and brain

  • Improving Your Memory - Introduces techniques, tips, and a memory “toolbox”, in addition to how your memory works and strategies for improving your memory.

  • Home Safety & Fall Prevention - As the majority of falls are preventable this workshop focuses to increase awareness of the statistics of falls among older adults, common myths and the reality, and the risks and steps that can be taken to reduce the chance of falling. We also teach HOW to fall and HOW to get up.

  • The Five Senses and Sensory Loss with Age - We look at the 5 senses: Hearing, Vision, Touch, Smell and Taste and and how aging brings predictable changes to them often making them less sharp and less able to accurately supply our brain with information about what is going on around us. . 

  • Mindfulness Meditation & Breath - Reviews the importance of settling your mind and introduces meditation and breathing techniques.
